Why do I get a "No Dial Tone" error message?

This is most likely a problem with your computer or phone line. First, reboot the computer just to make sure the modem is reset. Once the computer reboots, try the connection again. This problem can be caused by someone else on the phone line, or the phone line not plugged into the wall or the proper jack in the back of the computer. Check your connections and make sure that no one else is on the line. Plug a phone into that line and listen for a dial tone. If there is no dial tone, contact your phone company for further assistance.
